I’m Haley E.D. Houseman.
I chase offbeat stories as an editor and writer exploring communities of humans (and nonhumans.) I'm passionate about nature, how we craft narratives about the world around us, and how we maintain records of those relationships in our archives.
I'm also an experienced community-builder and brand strategist, building authentic, cohesive digital content with sparkling copy and compelling design, working with a wide range of clients across tech, beauty, and wellness. I'm always looking out for new assignments, exciting brands to work with, and interesting stories to explore.
With my cofounder, I launched an ongoing anthology called HUMANxNATURE, focused on unconventional nature writing. With the help of a successful Kickstarter campaign and a wonderful cohort of subscribers, writers, and naturalists, we’ve released two volumes of essays, interviews, and exercises in imagining a new relationship with the natural world.
I live in Massachusetts and spend most of my time in the woods with my dog. Otherwise, find me in the garden, in the library, or sewing—just check the weather.
